Is MakoRx Complete Care insurance?
No, MakoRx Complete Care is not insurance. It is designed to be offered in conjunction with existing insurance plans or as a supplement to plans employees select on their own.
What services are included in MakoRx Complete Care?
There are two plans to choose from:
Bronze Plan: provides access to 300+ medications for $0 and access to cost-plus drug pricing for all other medications.
Silver Plan: provides access to 300+ medications for $0 and access to cost-plus drug pricing for all other medications. Urgent Care telehealth visits and Virtual Mental health counseling is also included at no cost to the employee.
Gold Plan: currently available only in NC, provides access to 300+ medications for $0 and access to cost-plus drug pricing for all other medications. Urgent Care telehealth visits and Virtual Mental health counseling is also included at no cost to the employee. Annual physicals are in-person through our mobile clinic with labs and virtual primary care at no additional cost.
Why would I offer MakoRx Complete Care if I already provide insurance?
Employers offer MakoRx Complete Care in addition to insurance because it provides relief for employees who incur budget-straining out-of-pocket costs for their regular healthcare needs due to high deductibles, copays and coinsurance.
Adding MakoRx Complete Care puts money back in your employees’ pockets and improves their satisfaction with your benefits package.
Are MakoRx services available in all 50 states?
Yes, except MakoRx Complete Care Gold which is only available in NC.
Will MakoRx Complete Care interfere with the insurance we offer?
No, MakoRx Complete Care is not insurance and will not interfere with any plan type that you offer, including HSA HDHP plans.

Plan members can access their $0 medications and cost-plus rates at any participating local pharmacy. Use the Pharmacy Locator to find one near you.
How disruptive would switching from our current PBM to MakoRx pharmacy benefit services be for my employees?
Disruption can be minimized by grandfathering medications your members already use. Members can use any pharmacy nationwide and are not restricted to local preferred pharmacies.
